SUMMARY OF WORK ON THE PROJECT WITH THE SUPPORT OF UCF
Since June 2023, I have been working as part of a scholarship program funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
The "Relative Security" project is devoted to the realities of the war launched by Russia on the territory of Ukraine. In visual images, I try to process the trauma that we are experiencing today. Timely understanding of a traumatic event leads to healing and constructive transformations in the future - processes that we were deprived of in the past. The works are also documentation of changes in the understanding of the concept of security today, collective and individual emotional states, the feeling of the "collective body". Working together on a new understanding of the basic need for security will help form a strong common denominator for modeling the future in such a changed reality. Such self-actualization is a step towards the formation of new narratives in the historical memory of Ukrainians."
The purpose of continuing the work was to develop sketches and drawings, which she used to document the events and her own reflections on the events in Ukraine over the past year and a half, to translate them into larger-scale works using art materials purchased as part of the scholarship program. As a result of work in the project, cultural and artistic activities were fully restored, a large series of new works was completed, and an exhibition plan for 2024 was formed.
