Opening of the exhibition "My territory"
Center for Intellectual Art Mercury:
What is it like to be free when your freedom is constantly being taken away?
Veronika Cherednychenko (Kherson), Maksym Mazur (Kyiv), Bohdana Patsyuk (Lutsk), Olha Kuzyura (Lviv), Andriy Roik (Lviv) visualize their own interpretations of the words "my territory" in separate exhibition halls. Personal thoughts converge into a common dimension, because everyone hurts.
"My territory" is about personal freedom, its global significance, the territory of the Ukrainian land, personal and collective values, psychological comfort, physicality and spirituality. Interpretations, indeed, may be different, but they are familiar to everyone.
In order to be free, the territory must be protected.
"My territory" is a reflection exhibition, with which the authors provoke the audience to think about the various dimensions of "freedom" and their interaction with the land on which they were born.
Within the project, various media will be presented: from graphics and painting to large-scale installations using artificial intelligence and VR technologies.
"My territory" will last from June 28 to August 11.
Curator: Bohdan Mysyuga
